Meet the Romania Team – Part 3

The sun is finally shining in Belfast and we want to shine the spotlight on Rhys, Chloe, Nicole  and Niamh as they get ready to fly to Romania tomorrow. As with the rest of the team, we are super proud of these guys and support them in the adventure they are about to embark upon…

Age: 15

School/Where do you work: Grasta Christian School

Few of your favourite things: Music, drama, lip balms that smell really nice, and laughter.

Why do you want to go to Romania?: I want to go to Romania to see how God can use us over there. I hope we can bless the people with our words and actions. A tan would be nice too.

What are you looking forward to the most?: I am looking forward to seeing what God will use us for; stepping out and letting Him guide us.

What do you think will be most challenging? Probably the sadness of how upsetting their lifestyles are. Hopefully we will be able to leave knowing we made an impact. Maybe putting up with our crazy team for 12 days will be harder.

What do you think will be most challenging?: It will be challenging to see the kids and having to leave them behind, the language barrier and to see what I take for granted on a day to day basis at home.

IMG_3585Name: Niamh McManus

Age: 17

School: Newbridge Integrated College

Few of my favourite things: Musical theatre…
Rain drops on Roses, and whiskers on kittens, bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens, brown paper packages tied up with strings…  seriously though, singing, acting, creating cute illustrations, anything vintage e.g. typewriters, tea dresses etc, fossils, cats and other animals.

Why do you want to go to Romania?: I want to go to Romania to connect with people, whether it’s my team or those in Romania who just need a friend, to share and learn more about the word and be a light for God, following where He leads me.
What are you looking forward to most?: I’m most looking forward meeting new people and getting to know them not just their circumstances.
What do you think will be the most challenging?: Seeing people in a state of extreme poverty and hardship, the conditions in which these people live compared to how privileged we are, God will break my heart for those people to give me a greater passion to help and love them.
