A team of twelve from Grace Generation are heading to the west african nation of Togo, as part of the Compassion project.

Compassion UK is a Christian charity, passionate about empowering all children to overcome the obstacles that poverty puts in their way. Their approach to fighting poverty is highly focused and personal. It’s summed up in three simple words: Compassion for children. Compassion show every child they matter, linking them with one sponsor whose support gives them a hope and a future.
As a Church and as individuals on the Togo team, we sponsor our own children from the region. Togo is one of the poorest nations in Africa and our sponsored children are some of the most disadvantaged in the world. As a team we believe in the work of and advocate for compassion UK .
We feel strongly about making a difference in these children’s lives, to see them come to faith in Christ, see them released to live their best lives and be given the best opportunities to escape poverty and make a difference in their community.
By travelling to Togo our hope is to spend time in the Togo Compassion project, work with and bless the local community and learn more about the work of Compassion in Togo.
The highlight for us as a team will be meeting our own Compassion sponsor children who we believe are like extensions of our own families and also meet those children that are sponsored by our wider church family.
While we are there we also plan to visit the local church attached to the Compassion project and to form lasting relationships and links between Grace Generation and the church in Togo. We hope that this link will continue long into the future and create a legacy of hope and grace between our two nations. Who knows what God will do as we pioneer this amazing adventure. We are so excited to be a part of this wonderful organisation and believe that God has called each one of us to be his hands and feet in showing and sharing the love of Christ in Togo .
