There were a lot of sleepy faces in church last Sunday following the youth weekend to Castlewellan! Twenty one young people plus leaders, had a fantastic time together – learning about Christ, playing lots of games, all-nighters and outdoor activities! The Forest lends itself perfectly to a weekend away with the gorgeous setting and quirky features such as the Peace Maze and Annesley Gardens. The young people played football, rounders, torch tag and other games!
It was a real blessing to welcome Bob McClughan from Exodus along as guest speaker. Bob spoke about what it means to be “Souled Out for Jesus” and that every moment counts!
The group also shared time for devotionals and worship, with a few guys from church’s worship team there to lead.
All in all it was a brilliant weekend and the leaders are so proud of each and every young person there who helped to make it a success.
It’s better together!
